I attended the prenatal course with Jo in Dubai in 2019 while I was pregnant with my daughter. It was a great experience for me to learn all about pregnancy and birth during this time, as I could relate to everything! Though I have been a yoga teacher for many years, I never quite got into prenatal teaching until I attended this course, which gave me the knowledge and confidence to share with other mamas. Jo's teachings are authentic and sincere, and she is a passionate educator. I love that she teamed up with other specialists, who shared with us expertise about anatomy for pregnancy, physiotherapy and more. I recommend this course to those looking to study prenatal yoga with a spiritual touch and deeper meaning. It's an amazing opportunity to now have this experience offered online.

What I have learned from Jo's Pre-Postnatal yoga teacher training course is beyond amazing. Not only have we trained to be pre-postnatal yoga teachers, but we also learn to empower, support and encourage pregnant women to achieve a positive birth outcome.
So many aspects of the course which I found really helpful not just for mothers-to-be but also for all women. Although I completed a different prenatal yoga teacher training a few years ago and I have worked in this field for many years, I can proudly say I have learned something new in each and every module and I still have a lot to learn. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is seeking a rewarding career with abundant opportunities to empower women and to reconnect our feminine divine.

I’ve been searching for a pregnancy yoga teacher training course for about a year before I finally found Jo’s and I couldn’t be happier that I waited for this exact course to find me. It’s honestly one of the most comprehensive courses out there with incredible array of faculty. What I loved the most about the course is that it’s so wholistic. It doesn’t just cover yoga and anatomy but so, so much more—from bhakti yoga, chanting and ceremonies to birth and post-partum care. I felt supported by the teachings, by the community of women doing the course and by Jo herself with our weekly calls as well as one to one sessions where feedback was always shared in the most delicate and beautiful way. I loved every step of this course and couldn’t recommend it more. It won’t just change the way you teach, but most likely also how you view your own body, preganancy and the journey of motherhood.

The quality of Return to the Self Spiritual Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training is far above and beyond of what I first expected from the course. I feel very grateful to have had the opportunity to train and learn from Jo, and I’m looking forward to sharing this experience and knowledge with other women. The course was very thorough, with great and easy to follow schedule, and amazing guest teachers. I feel confident and empowered to teach Prenatal Yoga safely, help women throughout their pregnancy and in preparation for labour and motherhood.

This course has been nothing short of life changing for me - from making me feel confident to teach pre- and post- natal yoga to healing my own traumas connected with giving birth. Jo is so passionate about what she does, that I believe it is contagious. My spiritual searches align with the philosophies of this course and I am eternally grateful that I managed to complete it. Jo's teaching background shows through not only in the way each class has been planned but also in the way she delivers feedback - in such an empowering and constructive way. The content of the course is absolutely perfect - the quality of the videos, the format, the manual, the references. All the women on the faculty, that have come together, are experts in their fields - learning from the best is so humbling but rewarding. The course is extremely rich and multi - faceted. I have learned so much I still cannot wrap my mind around it. It has by far exceeded my expectations. Great value for money. During the course I got quite busy with work and my personal life but Jo was always there for me, supporting me, being flexible and accommodating. Thank you, Jo, from the bottom of my heart. Your course has healed me and has given me a new sense of purpose. It was the missing piece of a puzzle.

I loved the fact that the YTT has a spiritual focus and I felt that this was something different and unique! Now I’ve been through all the 10 weeks of the training, and wow what a transformation and shift I feel. I have entered into a whole knew space of vast knowledge. The course has covered what I expected and more! Jo’s way of bringing the information across in the videos, pdf’s etc. to the students is brilliant. She has a way about her teaching style which makes the videos so compelling from start to finish, of course combined with the content she shares is highly relevant and right on point. The videos are recorded in beautiful settings in Bali, I literally felt I was there! The sound of the nature and animals in the background and the lush scenery is just so special.
The other course facilitators on the training offer such a bonus! I really enjoyed the chanting parts with the beautiful Audrey, and midwife Lianne is just so knowledgeable, I think everyone on the course just wants to go to Bali and give birth with her support after learning from her and understanding her point of view. She is magnificent! The way the course is structured is really good and worked perfectly for me. Everything is clear and the quality of the manual and all attachments are great. I also liked that some weeks there are a bit more videos and assignments and other weeks less. For me joining the 10 week program with support from Jo and other students was perfect. I find it challenging to follow courses where you don’t have any deadlines. With this way of doing it I HAD TO finish each module by end of every week, before our weekly Zoom calls.

The I have been waiting a Prenatal YTT like this one for a long time. This is a course that goes deep into the root of what means being a woman, being a mother and being a teacher in the current yoga world. It is packed with information and it includes a variety of voices and professionals that Jo gathered around her to deepen each topic. I especially appreciated the visual content of many sacred ceremonies that otherwise I would have never had the chance to attend in person. The weekly Zoom call really helps to keep up with the study and to connect with likeminded women and I’ve found Jo’s 1:1 feedback very insightful and stimulating. This course has left me with a great sense of responsibility and an increased passion towards the importance of our prenatal and postnatal yoga work.

I also appreciated the 1-1 feedback from Jo, the feedback she gave was clear and helped me a lot to integrate the learnings. I am so happy I joined this training, I couldn’t have asked for more, I have learned so much! On the professional side it has enabled me to feel fully confident when I have pregnant women coming to my group classes, I have already started taking on some private pregnant students and soon starting my prenatal group classes which I am looking so much forward to and I am so grateful to have the honor to do this so important work of both nurturing, supporting and empowering these women for pregnancy, birth and beyond. On the personal side, a lot of healing has happened, realizations and deep profound connection with my own sacred feminine and the mother within me.

The training is absolutely amazing and I can highly recommend it. It covers all areas of pregnancy, birth and postpartum you can think of, in a very detailed and thorough fashion and also includes the spiritual aspect and puts the feminine into the center, which was for me the reason to book this training. Before every module there are journaling prompts that prepare you for the content ahead and the reading list was so valuable. The books she chose give a holistic view on pregnancy, birth and postpartum period and are a rich resource of ideas, techniques and technical information. The section on postures for all trimesters is very detailed and super practical as a resource. Jo demonstrates every posture with all possible adjustments and variations in the videos and the manual comes with photos. She provides several yoga classes on different themes for inspiration and some specific inputs for common problems during pregnancy. The feedback she gave for my yoga class assignments were very helpful and encouraging. I loved that she has several expert speakers for the different subjects like mantra chanting, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, cyclical wisdom and the spiritual ceremonies like blessingway and closing the bones.
I attended the Pre and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training while I was pregnant myself, which came with the double benefit to be able to put into practice what I learned right away with myself and with my students. It was such a rich experience and leaves me with immense gratitude for the knowledge I have gained.
